The author traces the story of the construction of the Villa “La Rotonda” in Vicenza by Andrea Palladio and his relationship with the sculptors who were involved for the sculptural decoration; among them emerges the contribution of Andrea Palladio. The terracotta depicting an Allegory is a model of the great sculptor Alessandro Vittoria for one of the eight marble statues placed all around the Villa. The marble was sculpted by his nephew, Lorenzo Rubini.
