The scholar adds to the corpus of works by Cristoforo Solari (1470 ca – Milano, 1524), known as Il Gobbo or the Hunchback, three sculptures. The sculptures of St. John the Baptist and St. Paul that thanks to the recent restoration of the Altar of the Presentation situated in the south transept of the Milan Cathedral and to the new photographic campaign devoted to the statues adorning it, it is now possible to attribute to Solari and the statue of a Prophet, carved in marble from the quarry at Candoglia, a quarry owned – then as now – by the Fabbrica del Duomo.
